About the Oil Aisle
My name is Lindsay.
I am a photographer and journalist by trade but currently a mompreneur from home. I am in the midst of co-writing two books and a Young Living Silver Leader.
My family started using essential oils when Carsen was 15 months old. We originally wanted a more natural alternative to help maintain our family’s wellness. Once we had our oils, and started to learn and research more we realized the cleaning and beauty products in our home were actually hurting our health.
Like most moms, I started with my kid first. I began to switch out Carsen’s store bough products for YL’s natural Kidscents products. I then slowly began to switch our my cleaning and beauty products (This switch didn’t happen overnight).
When we know better, we can do better. I love learning, which is probably why I love to teach. I love to share about essential oils because I have seen them change the health of my family for the better and I want others to experience the same benefits. I love that I am able to get the toxic chemicals out of my home.
My goal in sharing about essential oils is to empower families to advocate for their own health through the use of essential oils and chemical free living.
The Oil Aisle is a community of empowered women and men who love healthy living and essential oils. Join us in our journey! We’d love to add you.
My Journey to The Oil Aisle
I started using Young Living essential oils on my family in August of 2014. In May of 2012, just two days after I married Kevin, he took antibiotics for an ear infection and became deathly ill.
I’m not even being dramatic! He was in the hospital for 10 days, and at one point the doctor pulled me aside and said, “Honestly, we aren’t sure what will happen, and we’re afraid he will go septic.
Thankfully, God intervened and my husband is alive! Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you want to look at it) he needs to be very careful when taking antibiotics. This started me on a slow journey to study natural ways to maintain the health and wellness of my family. And once we returned to the states from living in Cape Town, South Africa, I felt the time was right to dive into the world of essential oils.
You can read the full story of our honeymoon trauma on my personal blog.
God created us from the earth and placed Adam and Eve in a garden, full of plants that were emitting oils! He created plants and trees for our benefit, and thanks to Young Living Essential Oils and their Seed to Seal commitment, we have access to essential oils that have proven thousands of years to be beneficial.
I am just a momma, not a Dr. and everything I post are stories and testimonials from my family, friends and friends of friends. I learn to use oils through the Young Living community and my essential oils reference guide, which I gift to anyone who purchases a Premium Starter Kit under a wholesale membership through me with Young Living.
When you buy from me, I get to buy more oils to help my family. Thanks for supporting my oil habit.
Take a walk with me down the oil aisle.
