Dude & Oils – BJ

Lindsay GrimesUncategorized

I started a series titled “Dudes & Oils” on January 5th, because I feel there is a misconception around essential oils. I believe many men hear “essential oils” and totally check out, assuming they’re just for women!

But men use essential oils as well!

I sought out some mighty great men to interview about their journey into using essential oils. If you have a guy in your life who is hesitant to start using oils, have them read these! It just might help them get over the hump, whatever it may be.

Today is my fifth interview. Alli Bryant is a dear friend and a business builder in The Oil Aisle. Her husband, BJ, loved the oils just as much as Alli from the beginning. Check out what he has to say.

Bio: I’m 29, and lead worship with my wife at Lifegate Midtown campus. We have two boys and enjoy being active riding my mountain bike or building things.

1. When did you start using essential oils?
I started using oil when Alli got her Premium Starter Kit in March 2015.

2. What convinced you that you would use these oily products for the long haul?
I’ve always preferred a natural method as opposed to over the counter options when possible. At first I enjoyed the smells of all the different oils, but after experiencing great results with my digestive system and chronic allergies I was hooked. I have also liked having a natural option for cleaning around the house. We use Thieves Household Cleaner daily!

3. Why is it important that you use these products over other products found in stores?
It’s important to me to use natural products because I believe it is better for our bodies. I hate all the warning labels and not being able to read the ingredients on over the counter products. I also believe in the power of these God given alternatives.

4. What is your favorite Young Living product and why?
My favorite YL product is probably Thieves. Or maybe Lemon and Peppermint. I can’t decide! They’re all so versatile and I use them all every day. In drinking water, in hot water with honey for tea, or applied directly.
