I was invited to Young Living’s Silver Retreat in Salt Lake City, Utah this past weekend.
All expenses paid: flight, hotel, transportation on the ground, food, and tons of FREE oils and swag.
The generosity and humility this company continues to show their members and the world blows my mind. The purity and authenticity shows in their products and their business practice.
I also appreciate Gary Young, the founder and former CEO of Young Living. At his core, Gary Young, is a farmer and because of this handed over the CEO title and responsibilities to his wife, Mary Young. YL is the largest women run (CEO) company in Utah and one of the largest in the United States.
This has freed Gary to actually be at the farms seeding, cultivating and distilling the plants himself. He’s not on a yacht, he’s in the field farming. He is a man who cares about humanity, the earth, and natural health and wellness. Check out the Young Living Foundation.
On Friday, we visited Whispering Springs, Young Living’s Lavender farm in Mona, Utah. The largest herb and distillery in the world, the farm features over 1,400 acres of fragrant herbs, a cool reservoir and is open to the pubic all year round!
I love the fact that I know where my essential oils come from. No third party, no broker, no synthetic fillers. Just pure, unadulterated essential oils. And you can come watch the process. That to me shows transparency and honesty.
On Friday, they were distilling Juniper.
This is the pill of Juniper before it was distilled.
The smell was magnificent.
They use a gentle, proprietary technique for steam extracting essential oils and preserving their precious constituents.
Finished bottles of Juniper!
We met Jared Turner, COO. I also ran into him as he was leaving the corporate building and chatted a bit.
Idaho Tansy – great to maintain a healthy immune system, supports the digestive system, and can be a great addition to that summer spray to keep away the annoyances found outside.
Goldenrod – Great for Libido, circulatory support and a great natural dye!
Sifting the seeds to replant
Just doing my part to help the farm
The farm is a great place to bring kids! There are pony rides, jousting (which is where this photo was taken) and rodeos.
I also had the opportunity to see the warehouse where the testing, bottling, sealing and distribution takes place. I have such a greater appreciation for the entire process now that I’ve seen it all first hand!
Rows and rows of bottled Ningxia Red!
Oils waiting to be tested.
Ningxia Red for days!
